Words Well Worth 14: The Best Fame Is One's Own Name

Rating: 5.0

The best fame is one's very own,
Medium, being by father known,
Lower, known by maternal name,
Worst is to lean on in-law's fame.

A fascinating poem. Our names are the first and foremost medium of identification. Whatever names we carry must be given recognition. A well conveyed and crafted write.

Feeling inferior to others is so sad. We should feel glad and motivate mind with great perception. A brilliant poem is shared.

Yes, the poem is about living on someone's fame, not one's own. Thanks dear KM.
