Hi Rini, This poem, as you would have noticed, is translation of a poem by Kavita Singh. She, like you, is a very talented poet. She writes mostly in Hindi. I liked the poems, and wanted to share them with those who donot read Hindi. Thus I tried the translation. If you read Hindi, you would notice that my translation is not good enough! ! ! And Thank you for reading and offering me this lovely comment...

I love translating myself (only French & Spanish) This is a very beautiful poem, deceptively simple.

Hi Tom, I am really excited to know that you could read this beautiful poem of Ms Kavita, through my translation. I am the reason for that. It is really a great feeling... Thank you..

And you may try some translations. But I read neither French nor Spanish. I have always wanted to learn to read at least Spanish, so that I could read Gabriel Garcia Marquez in original. I have read his English translations and wondered how beautiful the original would be! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! So I consider you as one of the luckiest, as you can read him in original.. I am jealous of you Tom! !

Thank you Mr Uba, for the nice and thoughtful observation. But, the credit goes to the exquisitely beautiful poem by Ms Kavita Singh. I doubt whether my translation has lived upto her wonderful poem. Thank you.

Poignant yet beautiful. Love is a rose with thorns. very well-articulated feelings of love that both pleases n hurts. A huge 10.

Hi Nosheen, Thank you for reading this poem- But, pl do read the original by Kavita Singh. It is rendered so beautiful. This translation is nowhere near it, in poetry...

You are incomplete without me. The two become one. Love cannot work in isolation. Two different people but one body, one love. Nice poem! Thanks for sharing! Sylva-Onyema Uba.
