Words Of Love Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Words Of Love

Rating: 5.0

There were words I should have said
Whispered for your ears alone to hear
But I think you have always known them
That you are the strength and best of me
Keeping me true of purpose, resilient on track.
My protector to walk raging battering storms
Shielding me from each fierce burning place.
Once, you said, "I only want to make you happy, "
Those words, so precious, still embolden desire
Echoing tantalising through corridors of the mind.
Saying words of love have never come easy for you
Revealing both depth of passion and power of love
But your smile, radiant and beautiful, reveals all
Showing your heart radiant, sweet and reassuring.
