Wise words should be full and brief Like grown seeds convert into stem Keep gems in hide like dear belief Show when keen eyes gaze at them. Love this! !
Older people do tend to live more in the past. Maybe they feel more comfortable there, more secure, because it is familiar to them. The young are brave and strong, so they must carry much responsibility. But past actions have shaped today into what it is. The older people were once young, and their decisions have created today's world. It is up to the young people now to sort the bad decisions from the good ones, and try to make the world a better place. Each new generation has this great responsibility passed on to them. The wisdom of old and the strength of youth, working together, can accomplish great things. The last stanza of this poem holds an important message. Wise words become the core of an idea that eventually becomes a great accomplishment. Guard those words like gems, and make sure they fall upon the right ears so they can be properly interpreted and acted upon. As it says in the Bible: Cast not your pearls before swine. This is a very inspiring poem, very well written and carefully thought out.
