Wow...I love the theme of this poem :) It's so true that news of a death is very dramatic and never forgotten. Although I haven't exactly lost somebody I loved, I somehow can imagine what you mean.

hum, longer depends on your point of view, grieving never fully ends... we grieve forever - its an unfinished process... and perhaps in thinking that there is more to this poem, but, not knowing what... is part of the process, in a sense there is always more, but we are never sure what... nice work emma.

this is a good poem, however i agree with just maybe th is should be a little bit longer

This may be a weird criticism but your poem was too short. I think it should have been longer, why I specifically can't tell you, but it seemed like there was more to say, something left unsaid, the story wasn't done yet.

no offence but i read this poem 4 times and all 4 times i couldnt help thinking that the line 'and choked every remaining bit of hope from me' should maybe be 'and choked my every remaining ounce of hope' no offence but that ran through my head other than that it was really good well done
