Wondering Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Wondering

I could kick myself for letting you slip away,
I tell myself a hundred times a day,
If I could go back,
I'd change that foolish mistake,
Many sacrifices have been made,
Living through endless days,
Wondering,
Dreaming,
Of how things may have been,
If only I had thought it out,
How different it would have been,
All through my lifetime,
I've regretted that stupid mistake,
I should have told you,
I long to hold you,
It's a risk I had to take.
