I would like to hear the views of my fellow-poets on the usage of the word 'achieved' in the expression that Death has "achieved" her. I had considered other words like possessed, made (her) surrender, defeated, subdued etc, but preferred this one

We live in 2023, not in 1823, when women were ordered by male-all courts to wear a scarlet badge citing "A"…. as life-long punishment for "adultery". The most pertinent question is has the woman sinned alone?
