This poem really is a tribute to all women and how we should be appreciated. Let us never forget that without woman there is no man and without man there be no woman. We need each other and we need to appreciate and respect each other. Thank you for this wonderful poem. Definate 10+

That greyed and died in time................ the moustache died? or was it dyed? Unending procreativity.........ok, this explains what you mean by full. the woman is always pregnant! ! ! ! Men know they can’t be Without you on their left............maybe this thought was how the expression right hand man came about? For you are woman You always forgive................oh, maybe in India. i'm in the U.S. and have been married four times. woman may ignore, they may forget, but i'm not sure they EVER forgive a man! ! ! bri :)

Sir, Full men alone will be able to respect woman a full individual. This is my first realisation on reading the poem. It is the lack of confidence of man in himself, that makes him call his wife bharya (the one who is ruled/ controlled/owned) and ardhangini (better half?) . And, of course, the most important strength of woman is her patience (kshama in sanskrit, which also refers to Goddess Earth, justly) . So, the metaphor 'earth' suits woman the best. Thank you for sharing this fantastic poem.10.

Well, truth is, I never ever believe that a woman was only half full; nonetheless, I have to believe God and He says woman was made from one of man's ribs! Thanks for sharing, Madathil R Nair!

The primordial masculine and feminine is represented in our mythology as Shiva and Shakti- the emptiness and energy. So we can see God or a Godess as the source of creation. Divinity goes beyond gender issues. What would Man be without Her? First as an helpless infant without a Mother Or in growing up as a caring Sister Or for that matter a doting wife that matters......... Very good poem Sir, keep your pen busy

Yes, women is the most precious being the creator has ever created, if only her head and heart is governed by Wisdom and not feelings alone. The world will survive in harmony, if only if she teaches her children the ways of love and tolerance which will pave the way For peace, from their tender age.
