A sudden death is better than a slow painful lingering death. Wolf as a symbol of death is very apt. This short poem is full of images that make death a fearful thing but man's acceptance of it makes it less terrible. Great write Barry.

If you are to wait to see it approaching at its own time, then your readiness to take the choice could offer you nothing. It's brave nevertheless for us to be ready and leave the world any time it would happen without any complaints, but happy to have lived as humans in this marvellous world we created-mostly in less than ten thousand years....To know how to live is to be ready to die in any moments it may be....I wish you, dear Barry Many the returns of the years to come and see you writing....

The ferocity and suddenness of death admitted, the poet's readiness to take it head on coupled with his brevity makes it a remarkable poem by all means. Thanks for sharing. death that stalks I wait for it to leap
