Woes of women

She is a waste, who failed exhaustedly reproducing many, but not a male child.

She is sterile, who goes round a peepal tree for conceiving from her impotent husband.

She is a widow, who is forbidden to auspicious occasions.

She is a prostitute, who feeds men's hunger for sex, to fill her stomach.

She is a sacrifice, who under goes tubectomy to spare her husband from his vasectomy.

She is an estranged in her mother's house, sent back from husband for fiscal deficits.

She is Pathini, who lives with her drunken husband's hostilities.

She is a homemaker, who lives in the heat of the kitchen, with a gold medal in education.

She is adulterated, who lives with another man after abandoned by her husband.

She is an outcasts, who married her loved one outside her caste.

Revaluation has erupted for many
But not this woman's, which the mother earth wallows with pride.

ஆண் வாரிசு பெறுவதில் தோல்வியுற்று...
நலிந்து கிடக்கிறாள் அடுத்தடுத்து
'பெண் குழந்தைகளை ஈன்றவள்'
ஆண்மை குறைந்தவனை மணந்து...
அரச மரத்தில் தொட்டில் கட்டுகிறாள்...
'மலடி'
மங்கல காரியங்களில் மேடையில் நிற்கத் தயங்குகிறாள்...
'விதவை'
வயிற்றுப் பசிக்கு ஆண்களின் காமப்பசி தீர்த்து...
உணவைப் பெறுகிறாள்
'விபச்சாரி'
கருத்தடை அறுவைச் சிகிச்சைக்கு
கணவனை அனுமதிக்காமல்...
தன்னை உட்படுத்திக் கொள்கிறாள்...
'வம்ச தர்மம் காப்பவள்'
சீர் கேட்கும் புகுந்த வீட்டிற்கும்...
கொடுக்க மறுக்கும் தாய் வீட்டிற்கும்...
நடுவே திரிசங்கு நரகத்தில் விழுகிறாள்...
'வாழாவெட்டி'
குடிகாரக் கணவனிடம் அடிபட்டு மிதிபட்டாலும்...
தியாகத்தின் புனிதம் காக்கிறாள்...
'பத்தினி'
வீட்டின் அக்கினி மூலையில் நாள் தோறும் தீக்குளிக்கிறாள்...
கல்வியில் தங்கம் வென்றிருந்த
'இல்லத்தரசி'
கணவன் வஞ்சித்து கை விட்ட பிறகு...
வேறு துணையோடு சேர்ந்து வாழுகிறாள்...
'நடத்தைக் கெட்டவள்'
தடைகளைத் தாண்டி வேற்று சாதிக் காதலனை மணந்ததால்...
ஒதுக்கப்படுகிறாள்

எத்தனைப் புரட்சிகள் வெடித்தாலும்...
இத்தனைப் பெண்களையும் உயிரோடு விழுங்கும் பூமி கொக்கரிக்கிறது...
