Without His Coat... Poem by John F. Bisner Ureña.

Without His Coat...

Rating: 5.0

I look for you everywhere and I do not notice you near,
I rummage through my thoughts and I don't feel you
I look at the sky and I don't look at you there,
I feel alone and mute without your presence
like words without tone or meaning,
you are not by my side and my being fades
in the silence of a sigh of a lament...

I'm cold and my thinking is clouded
whispers come and go with the shadows of the day,
blessed fantasies that deceive the ear and conscience
I hear your hands that tenderly caress the moment
of a tired breath that gasping for shelter in the
sweet honey from the oasis of your sad eyes...

I shelter an instant of my existence
where your silky jet black hair
dance with dazzle to the faint sound of your smile,
bandit feelings that tiptoe
they escape urgently from my fragile mind...

I walk tired and crestfallen through life
but grateful to my destiny,
purpose of a simple Being
with a humble heart that I know
shakes the trembling pulse
without anger or complaints to the woman
that without his coat I still 'LOVE'...

His friend forever,
John Bisner.
