Without A Free And Decent Social Media-2 Poem by Bharati Nayak

Without A Free And Decent Social Media-2

Rating: 5.0

Can there be any democracy
Without Media playing its role?
Who will bring news to the people
Or who will find the System's loopholes?
Who will form the public opinion, or
Who will create and raise a slogan?
Media is the vital link
Between the people
and the Government
It is the channel
for people's grievance
Which gives a voice
to the voiceless.
Media makes the law makers aware
of people's needs and aspirations
It makes the citizens enlightened
By news dissemination and their interpretation
Without a free and fair media
Will not democracy be a mere sham?

Media in one way or another keeps the tenets of democracy alive. It safeguards the light of Freedom of Expression guaranteed in our fundamental law.

Profound, yes the fourth state is one of the pillars of democracy, alas in present time media is absolutely biased. Hope some day they will realise and correct themselves.

Without a free and fair media Will not democracy be a mere sham? Absolutely! Poets are here to lay bare all lies shoven under the tapestry. You wrote terrific powerful poem, ready to present to the engaged government

First of all 5 Stars full and to my Favourites, this is the most important theme in our daily doings, Which gives a voice to the voiceless. Media makes the law makers aware of people's needs and aspirations
