With You Poem by Sulaiman Alimat Taiwo

With You

I wanted to stroll beside you
But it feels like a burden to you

I craved a world of joy and grace
But your tune transformed it into mere space

I longed for a life filled with laughter and joy
But you turned every moment into a ploy

I yearned to dance beneath the starlit sky
But you drowned out the music with your doubt and I cry

I dreamed of soaring high and flying so high
But you clipped my wings and left me without
