With Autumn, Immoderate Change Poem by james watkin

With Autumn, Immoderate Change

With Autumn, immoderate change.
Birches' radiant dancers
That carried us, high-spirited
Along with them plain-footed

Now insist that by stripping down
To their last, for shock value
A climax, if not the best part
Achieves their performing art.
