With A Little Midnight Faith Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

With A Little Midnight Faith

I need to find you and love you.
With a little midnight faith
It doesn't matter how late it's getting.
As long as at some point in the future
There is the possibility of a future.
A friendship and maybe even a wedding

I need to know you're with me.
And I am not just dreaming.
I need to know the sun is rising.
And it isn't just a setting.

As long as at some point somewhere within
There's a tingling, a yearning.
To go heavy on the drums, the violins
The fanfare, the fireworks
And still find a harmony
I'll stay holding your hand.
I'll stay with you always.

If you have the same faith in me
We'll share this bond forever.
This love decree, darling, don't you agree with me?
Unapologetically.

With a little midnight faith
We'll catch aeroplanes across the skies.
And fly through the dappled light.
Linking up the stars between us
Turning night into daylight.
We'll sail across far distant seas.

And everything will be like paradise.
Without fear of damaging or tearing up our eyes.
With a little midnight faith,
You'll one day be my future, my life, my wife.
