Wish You Well Poem by Aubrey E Drummond

Wish You Well

It is said
With a genuine smile
Do you really wish me well?
Sorry, it's just the Senecal me
Who finds it hard to believe
That anyone would wish
Me well

What have I done
To cause such good fraternity
Why would you think me swell
I, who found it hard to show
Much empathy
I, who would never let you
Deep in my well

Yet you shake my hand
Cry real tears and say
Sincerely,
I wish you well
