knowing
all is lost…
the sun dark
and the tides still
life in emptiness, life
without the dawn; whispering
to the winds and all those wandering
souls… souls without destiny vanish
as do the tears of the unanswered
callings to the mystery above the
clouds… this haunting the entire
world; which is now a strange
empty whole… the sky, a dark
empty cloud from horizon to horizon
falling, and rising in its entirety; embracing
hopeless dreams… restless, sleepless darkness
envelopes all of humanity, believing yet; in hiding
begging the night to end… for there are no stars
and no moon to light the skies… and nothing
comes through the ever-thickening cover
except fear and worry and woe… humanity
praying, to the sky for that light to shine, for that
light to forgive and forget; bellowing out to that light
for a merciful wish to be granted… all of humankind
bowing down, on wounded knees begging to be
granted one last time; a final wish of change.
