Hey Will, what a nice Petrarchan Sonnet.....a freaking one too.Having said that, winter's man is bound to be one, when their time comes, but the way they 're treated were very peculiar an is open to a vast interpretation.I'd love to read more of your scintillating works. Best Wishes, Sulaiman
Wow Will. That last stanza really got me. The poem makes me think of corporations that fire their faithful employees and hire the young to fill the 'winter man's' shoes at half the salary and sometimes no benefits. Do I have this right. or am I completely off the mark?
Having just gotten a Medicare card, this 'winter's man' notion strikes real close to home. I guess the trick is to shake the icicles off and do something useful if only to yourself.
