Also as a metaphored poem, very touching with gret sadness, Dominic. This poem also suites our life in reality and last but not least: a most dramatic poem about the Rose as a flower, my mind constantly goes back to life itself. Very very touching.5 Stars TOP Score

How pleased am I, and I feel as if I wrote it.. The last winter rose; A rose of remorse: it is considered a form of another meaning, it can be applied to the whole life, so your poems live without dying because they are out of space and time, well done for this wonderful work..10/10

I'm in the neighbourhood Dominic and while I'm here I believe with all conviction, your poem thoroughly deserves another 10. So why not. I'm off to the Land of Nod for the Sandman calleth me and duty calls tomorrow. Will read/rate more of your fine writing tomorrow eve'. Take care and good luck on your early mentioned venture.

Now your faded petals offer, Only a glimpse of that power. Everything needs the right time time.summer cannot carry over its beauty to winter!

Precisely...that's why I refer to 'faded' and ' glimpse'. Anyway, my poem is concerned with figurative/ metaphorical meaning not literal interpretation as I'm sure, as a fellow poet, you'll understand.

Yes indeed. It's hard for me to relate to this poem now as it was written shortly after experiencing bereavement about 16 years ago,

Now diamond points of ice cruelly Surround your flesh pink, Christ like presence. The whine of winter's bitter song; The cold claws of grief; the grey silence: The landscape scorns its chosen one. diamond, flesh pink, whine of winters song claws of grief, silence in grey. so m any wonderful poetic images to express grief. tony
