Winter's Lands Poem by james watkin

Winter's Lands

Lands under interdiction
Winter's dreaded passed through.
Within them nothing's perceived
To move; nor would dare to!

Warned off by voices, sharp-toned;
Through icy winds conveyed.
Cabin-squared, each house fire's glow;
Hunching round who've obeyed!

Rise, did moon's affrighted orb?
Sky-frozed; to a wolf's howl!
Stiffened, with a stare to match
Unchanged, sentry guard's owl.
