Winter Rain Poem by Daniel Miltz

Winter Rain

The storms of earth way
Searching for the next shot to quench it's thirst today
Colors scintillating into the thundering airway
Creating a glowing natural fairway

Winter wants rain ignite
Stubble rub after a rippling night
Thunder rumbles like a deep-belly laugh incite
Stirring the air with unease firelight

The sky ironed out with a chill
With insidious pleasure, and immense overspill
Tumbles the frigid pour into an ecstasy swill
On the air, the smell of saturated earth distill

Ice box drizzle invigorates me to a poem write
Shivery streams of snappy delight
Slaps on the sleety pathway excite
The splatter of shiny drops hitting my sight
