Winter In Our Town Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Winter In Our Town

Rating: 5.0

Now it is time to be back home
Evening has fallen and a cool wind
Has begun to blow sending a shiver
Down the spine and freezing the mind

Now it is time to shut the doors
And windows and sit by the fire
To make the body warm and have
Some hot coffee to kill the winter's ire

Now it is time to have dinner as
Snowflakes begin to fall on rooftops
And to enjoy soothing sound of wind
That passes over acres of grasses and crops

Now it is time to go to sleep
Dreaming of snow and rain ahead
Of frozen stream and shining peaks
Of flower plants draped in ice looking sad
