Gave her a rather unkempt look
As she raced across the sands

The spectre and your knack....reading eyes still in big awe.....thank you...thanks for your comment on my poem too Sandra
what an amazing tale with a surprise ending, ma'am! i fully enjoyed reading it.thanks for sharing.
In this marvellous poem, as well as in your poem 'The Aftermath, ' your words were as sharp and clear as a digital photograph, Sandra, so vivid and expressive that it was a great pleasure to read this as well as your other poem. This fine write tells it's tale exceptionally well and features an absolutely splendid and eerie ending which enhances the entire poem. Your talent is awesome in both of these tremendously impactful and wonderfully written poems. Carl.
Wow... what an ending... what a delightful read...I really loved it regards Alf
A haunting tale brilliantly told. The twist in the tale at the end of the tail is exceptionally well executed.
A real mystery with this one. I could feel the wind and see the sea with your wonderful narrative. We had a ghost in our last house, but I never saw it, but my husband did often. Great work Sandra.10 love Karin
A superlative supernatural narrative, Sandra, nicely told, and apropos for October (with the approach of Halloween) . :)
The sea, the shore and a ghostly girl - - all wrapped up in a verse of expressive narrative Sandra - - it thrills the reader with its flowing urgency and ends most surprisingly.... Fay
Excellent piece my dear friend....Like watching a movie....the twists and turn...The direction of this poem's brilliant...and then....that unexpected ending...amazing piece with so much drama....loved it Sandra...well done 10+++
Oh wow, Sandra, my favorite thing, a ghost in a poem, and that story, is it entirely fictional, not based on any old legend? It's fantastic; could be worked into a novel of such beauty! Thank you, my old imagination has run off from me at this gem, in search of more ghost stories and poetry. Something I will never tire of until have become a ghost myself! Hope that I will be real scary too..(smile)
Full of drama, I could feel the wind pulling me, and what a lovely surprise ending you gave it. 10++++ Bob
it's a gripping narrative, sandra. the sea, its sanda, the wind there in have a mysterious quality by themselves. a perfect setting, indeed. what's to follow is very clear after the first stanza...
a nice poem a equally strong narrative eloquent words, it must definitely be a work of sandra. One of the best poem i have read in all these days.10+++++++++++++++
nice and different..i really liked...easily the best among many you recently posted...10X10
Garnier advertisement of long and strong hair and the ghost story are well weaved into a poem for the moment making the idea of fusing fact and fiction with imagination wonderfully well! Nice indeed!
it was like watching a movie sandra...you took the suspense till the end...and a bit of a humor too at the end...very well done
Sandra, I love a good ghost story and this one was one of the best. Top marks plus for this beauty. Hugs David
Extraordinary. Your windswept girl is haunting and evocative, the very essence of a soul with wings. Reminds me a bit of, 'A Portrait Of Jennie', one of my favorite, classic films. 10/10. Love, SandraX
