The cool and chilling winter winds,
that whistle round my mind.

This is a fantastic poem. Great rhyme and meter. Only two small things detract, both in line thirteen (unlucky number?) : 1) You should always capitalize the word I when referring to yourself. 2) There is such as word as THESES (It's the plural of THESIS) but I think in this case you meant to say THESE. Again, wonderful poem and congratulations on having it selected as Poem of the day!

Cool and chilling winter winds will soon be replaced with soothing breeze of spring; nothing is for ever....

There seems to be an idea here that outside forces acting on the mind have almost stolen the life away: 'And stop my life from running off, and leaving me behind.' I truly believe the past has some power over the present: 'Of bitter pent up memories, and visions from the past.' And it seems like it is more often the unhappy memories; 'Are oh so unforgiving, ' I think this is awesome writing and the rhyming scheme is one of my favorites; I think it does great justice to this.
