Winding Ways Poem by AFFAQ NABI

Winding Ways

My soul, a compass, turns on winding ways,
While tears, like ink from some sad quill, do fall.
This heart, a floating ship for fleeting days,
Must leap through time, or pine within its thrall.
The sun's swift course, a lover's ardent pace,
A moment's kiss, a breath, a burning grace.
Come, seize this instant, before its light erases
The very memory of this warm embrace.
Our love, a flame that mortal storm would quell,
Is forged in passion's fierce and sudden heat.
Kiss lips still warm; let this sweet moment swell,
Before life's transient pulse admits defeat.
So stay, my love; let not this swift time be
A river flowing swiftly from the eternity.
