I'm not sure of my 'history facts', but even if this poem is meant to be fictional, it is a topic worth considering for world leaders et al. I give **** stars. bri : )

As a topic/hashtag, 'demise' fits the poem. And though people died on both sides of the 'Vietnam Conflict', now the U.S. and 'South Vietnam' are at peace and 'made in Vietnam' labels have been found in U.S. stores.

A powerful poem so well expressed. A great warning to those who engage in chemical warfare.

Bro, To be sure, the Agent Orange used in SE Asia while the U.S. followed in the military steps ot the French, fighting supposedly to save expanding Communism, harmed plants and 'others'. : ( bri

I shudder to think that humans can do such a thing to each other and to innocent animals and live with themselves comfortable in their skins. A sad reality.

Thank you so much sharing, your brilliant poem inspired me, hope you won't mind it: Two summers ago could see no birds for 5 days in a row. Eyes search in vain the β€œbirdless” lands And sterile skies. To every glance My heart with knifes of ice was stabbed. Lucky, the birds right now, are back But thoughts of birds depleted sky Brings new and frightful worries.
