Willingness To Breathe Poem by Dorsey Baker

Willingness To Breathe

When you make the time
run too fast
you get old too soon
when the cars
go speeding by
and the lightning
strikes ground
thunder will walk ahead
and lead the way
the iron stare
of your naked eye
points itself
down the long
and lonely road
and your body
follows in the wind
