Will You Still Love Me The Same? Poem by Babalola Jubril

Will You Still Love Me The Same?

If my heart travelled a thousand miles away,
Chasing my dreams but not you,
If my dreams occupy my consciousness,
And never have you lived a microsecond there,
Will you still love me the same?

If I told you my flaws,
If I showed the red part of me,
That has made my past bitter,
Will you still love me the same?

If the earth makes noises,
That I could not listen to your expression,
To hear you say: " I love you "
And Instead I disappeared like dust,
Will you still love me the same?
With everything not right,
That the heart is sick because of love,
And the body aches because; love never flows in the blood,
Will you still love me the same?
