The memory of having been, is not as important as a mental recall, but as in living to honor the memory through actions inspired by the departed. I loved my parents and they are long departed so my recall of their faces and embraces are faded but I live the life of a good man, as they taught me through their lives, in honor of them. Passing that to my children ensures that my parents' legacy will live on through that generation. Peace

A good read. In theme, content and tone resembles a poem written by Karim Chaudhury on Rejected Stuff. A suggestion: the beloved's assurance should be recorded in a different poem.so that the intensity of the longing to be remembered eternally can be more evocative.
