Will You Poem by Kelvin Rush

Will You

Will you grant me peace so I can grow
Stop my insane curiosity that needs to know
Will you hold my hand and be there through the night
Never push me away give me strength to fight

When I'm feeling down will you lift me high
Wipe away my tears each time I cry
Will you open your heart and let me in
Will you accept my faults and forgive my sin

Will you give me sight when I'm old and blind
Will you free my soul reassemble my mind
When I'm scared of death will you hold me tight
Offer love compassion peace and light

When I crawl on my knees and beg to be saved
When I scream like a child when I'm lost and enslaved
When I'm spat at and laughed at and abused in my cell
Will you take me away from the tortuous hell

As I walk alone will you harbour my shame
As I take my last breath will you release the pain
As the end of the road is now clear to see
I ask you dear lord will you do this for me
