A finely crafted poem. While I do not share your faith I respect your devotion and wonder if perhaps the believers can in their own hands be guided to collectively make positive changes. In each is the power to enact change for good.

I like this poem very much Joe, even had to add it to my favorites. I have felt this often, and here you've done an admirable job of putting it into just the right words; for that I thank and admire you, and your pen. So oft it seems as if the path of living wanders through some mighty uncharted areas, and I for one cannot help but feeling as if I have no idea what's coming at me. You've made me feel a bit better with this poem, as if I'm not alone after all. Thank you sir.

your second stanza explains the problem with this world. We need someone to put a stop to it.

Amen and Amen to this one dear Joseph. God has revealed Himself when He created the world and humans to inhabit it. He gave us the will to make free choices. We can either use it to build or destroy, to love or hate, to make war or make peace. It is all up to us as individuals and as a whole. We all have to exist together here on earth so lets try to live together in love and peace. A very worthy write.

I am not a believer myself Joseph - it is in the hands of man to shape the world, and we will never become a brotherhood for as long as he continues to hold onto his myths and harbour false beliefs which are at variance with each other. He remains to see the light, and perhaps this is the true meaning of your first line. An interesting and thought-provoking write.

Amen! A fervent prayer! A lot of atrocities are committed in the name of God and religion, because each one thinks that what he believes is true! Instead of shrouding in mystery, if God had revealed Himself....! How. we all wish and pray, but in vain! Believing firmly that we are all children of God, let us try to be in one brotherhood! As ever a great write!
