Wild Homeland Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Wild Homeland

I am lost
In the world's green, wild expanse.
Shadows chase me;
Nowhere is home for me.
Despair
Crushes my soul.
My dwelling place has vanished,
My true self
Is lost.
Uncertainty spreads,
Days are hazy,
Nights dark
And starless.
Every step
Is taken in darkness,
A cautious advance,
An attempt to escape
The world's cunning trap,
So I can find
The true direction,
That source
Where eternal freedom
Erupts,
Once lost
In those shimmering shades,
Seeking a beauty
That does not last.
Like a doe
Separated from the forest,
I run
With the swiftness of hope,
Through trackless rain,
Back
Toward that wild homeland
Where eternity resides.
Now I have found
My wild homeland.
My return is
Reason for a high leap,
A place for song.
I am grateful;
I am free
In this wild home of mine,
Where my true soul
Is free.
No shadow
Surrounds me
Or pursues me.
Only light,
Light upon light.
Only music,
And the sweet echo of music,
In my wild homeland,
My true homeland.
