Wild Poem by Artemis J Jones

Wild

Rating: 5.0

Wild
The Spanish Moss looms over
In the Moonlight
Shadows of spirits long gone
The old Cypress sways
And the Panther sees her prey

You're older than my tribe
But not the Seminole
Grandeur held in silence
You rise above a swampy world
And the Eagle rests

The footprint is your mark
But you're tracked by another sense
Hunger waits no more
The paws are powerful as are the teeth

Whippoorwill has spoken
Fragrance of distant Orange Blossom
Carries serenity
The Suns embers are gone
A gator croaks sounds of love
