Wide River Poem by Darlan M Cunha

Wide River

I was a strong-flowing river
flashy river of a thousand curves
kissing the ravines
uprooting trees
and many people's sleep.

Then I slowly languished,
I lost weight in plain sight
until I become what I am today:
desert.
