America's greatest thinker of the 20th C (imho) had as one of the fundamental principles of her philosophy that no man should ever initiate violence against another. It is typical that it was espoused by a woman. Many men - definitely not all - appear to be born with the barnyard mentality - they must reach for the highest point they can in the pecking order. Tie that to intelligence, ego and variable morality and violence/war is the outcome. Great poem Linda. The intellectual content is spot on. Nothing is missed.
