Why I Seem Cold Poem by Simbarashe Raymond Mudukuti

Why I Seem Cold

You do not know my past
Nor do you have an idea of my future
I was raised among stray horses
Strong like a stallion
I've seen the day end for the hot heads
A man was cut mouth half open in my eyes
10 feet from where I sleep she was stabbed to death
Having king dreams living with vipers
Pythons hissing as they attract me to them
My friend
I've been to hell literally
What these eyes witnessed
You can't look twice
People have turned halfway into a deal
Built castles in the air in my ears
And turn off to aerate the air behind
When you say hie and I don't not reply
I've likened you to what I have seen
Do not challenge me
I beg
