Why I can't

If I were a bird
I can hide in you
Among your twigs
Make a soft mattress in you
Without asking anyone
I could have gone wild to
Lay eggs in your heart and cover
Passionately hatched and carved.
I would hand over babies to you
would fly in search of food
In the greenery of your beauty
I could have pampered them
In the cool of the shade of love
I could have clung and loved
But why am I like this?
As if nothing was coveted
As if nothing had happened.......
A deeply love poem nicely crafted. Thanks very much for sharing.

Love cannot be imposed. It has its own course. A wonderful thought nicely versified. Well crafted.
