Why Glue To An Imaginary Sky? Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Why Glue To An Imaginary Sky?

Facets of imaginary sky hovering around;
the books, films, TV and internet
fictions, novels and story books
hot cakes among youngsters
films and TV serials preaching emotions
TV commercials busy in promoting the goods
internet flooded with celebrations of lust
roaming in a fictitious kingdom
you forget yourself
inviting blood clots in your arteries
come out.....
welcome the real sky
for your eye's sake
for your mind's sake
the real world is waiting for you
with all your wisdom from the imaginary sky
face the real sky
with confidence and love
this is the world you are privileged to enjoy
this is your grazing field
time is the greatest asset
interact with the real world, not fiction
you are the doer and operator
you are the viewer and sole-proprietor
s p e n d
least time with imaginary sky
more time with real sky
for your august presence
makes the sky proud
embrace the sky
and feel the love
from all directions.
