Our DVD player wanted to be repaired
As it stopped working all of a sudden;
Why we need to pay repair charges
For an old piece of electronic item
Was my firm decision since my retirement,
Yet, I tried to repair it economically, but in vain

Today, my wife took the DVD player
And its remote controller for cleaning purpose;
While cleaning, she was talking to the DVD-
With mixed reactions, as if to a known person at home;
After that she connected it to the TV to give a try,
By telling a famous piece of dialogue in a movie:
'എന്താടോ, നന്നാവത്തെ…,
ഡിജിറ്റൽ വേർസാറ്റൈൽ ഡിസ്‌കെ…? '.
('What is this? Why don't you get improved.., Digital Versatile Disc..? ')

To my surprise, the DVD now started working;
How? Perhaps, it reveals two things unclearly:
The first one may be that everything needs a friendly care
In addition to the so called official customer care;
And the second may be that it should be the loving person
That has to give a piece of advice to the dear ones!
