We write because we must. We cannot keep our poems bottled up inside us. Our brains would burst from our skulls. Splattered cerebral matter is not pretty on paper.

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful question - I asked several times to myself- answer was simple- to share our feelings with others which will satisfy our self.I am not a poet at all but I like black and white

A probing philosophical piece of poetry set aside for honest contemplation. Beautiful and well articulated poem written with insight. Thanks for sharing Adilson.

Dear Mr Adilson, poetry is an art of expression, im not among great ones who write gorgeous poems with highest artistic value, I write because as part of human I do observation, then share thoughts, share idea, share love, compassion, curiosity... We do write as part of therapy where no ears care but hearts want to tell, and because of we are human... We do connection in every form with others, if this is illness then dont cure me from it, ill be more insane if my voice and wing tied..Adilson, thanks for provoking us with beautiful subject.

Are we a type of mentally ill people or are we the most generous ones on the surface of the earth? i smiled when i read this line. my answer is: please tell me dear poet why we do write poems? it is easy to ask questions? anybody can ask questions.. but telling the answer is the most difficult part so tell me why?
