Why Do Some Members Rate Their Own Poems? ... Poem by Shaun Cronick

Why Do Some Members Rate Their Own Poems? ...

Rating: 5.0

Why do some members rate their own poems? ...
Is it hypothetically, for the points?
Again hypothetically, or to fuel their own stats and ego's?
Surely any poem that hypothetically deserves any true, honest merit,
Doesn't it hypothetically, deserve to be given by other members? ...

So a poem can receive it's true, honest and justified evaluation? ...

Thank you Dominic and Long John Silver all alone on said island will eventually starve himself when poets get wise and maroon this odious pirate there. Thanks again good sir and keep writing.

That's a great point (no pun intended) you make Shaun. Did you know that someone is now disguising himself or perhaps herself, if you know what I mean, as the dastardly Long John Silver and is providing lots of points for himself/ herself? Surely he, or she, will soon take over Treasure Island and we'll surely all be damned! ! ! i say this with tongue placed firmly in my cheek Anyway, it's a treacherous 10 from me!

Of course you are correct. Some people rate their own poems to inflate their scores and their egos. Why else?
