I read the poem completely engrossed in its background. The words are so heart touching. The impact was so profound that I might have missed a heartbeat or two in the process. It left me pensive. Thank you, Alexa, for sharing the poem. But even though I cry, I also smile. I smile because he is now in a better place and no longer suffering. He does not have to deal with the pain of lung, prostate and bone cancer.
