Who Will Drive The Jeeps Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Who Will Drive The Jeeps

Rating: 5.0

If dangerous track on that
we travel from Naran to Lake Saiful Mulook
is metaled
or a narrow railways track is built
like that from Kalka to Simla
or from Silliguri to Darjeeling
built by the British rulers of this sub continent
and areas like Mansahra, Abbotabd and Hasan Abdal
are fully industrialized
and jobs are prvided to the poor inhabitants
of Northern Areas of Pakistan
it will create a problem
for the corrupt politicians.
They will face heavy losses.
They are earning a lot from the tourists
who travel on jeeps owned by them
and run by the helpless men of the area.
If they work in the industries developed
who will drive their imported jeeps?

Naran to Lake Saiful Mulook the important track road is metaled and this has become dangerous. Traveling in such a route by jeeps is very much risky. This is a thought provoking poem wonderfully penned and shared...10
