A marvelous poem, Linda. We all need someone, particularly at those critical moments that you so eloquently conveyed here. I am struck more so by the thought of the person finding an inner peace, that the “who” is he. But there need be someone to expose the soul for it to be contemplated in the first place. The question of 'who will be there for me' is evidence to that fact. So “who” will expose the soul and therefore be there….?
