How you made me smile with this sweet film clip! ! ! It seems tragic that the baby's first experience with life is an unpleasant one to him but oh how we mothers want to hear that cry and how frightening it is when it doesn't and everyone rushes over to the baby and things are whispered and things are done that cannot be seen from the delivery table and then- -oh, the baby cries and waves her red arms and legs around! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! 10+

a beautiful flow, all happy listing from professionals to parents, then the turn of baby crying, but all relax when the baby cries first breath taken after I was born I refused to cry, the doctor held me by the feet upside down but I did not cry, smacked by, then again harder, third time really hard, but I did not stop crying for about 6 months :)

Thanks Rose for your comments, but may be some readers would say: from the physiology point of view the first cry could be a positive side of baby's well being, but metaphorically the cry is the sign of discomfort, here the clever critic finding the poetical hidden facts, cheers.. have a good time over there spending with the glamour of the ocean

The first cry of the new born baby is music to parents, doctors and nurses because it signifies the well being of the baby especially with respect to his lungs. Yet, if you go deeper into the meaning of life, it is indeed a miracle...

From the cosy safety of the amniotic fluid, the baby is thrown into the turbulent waters of life. It has now to swim hard to reach a safer shore. That's why the baby cries soon after it is born while everyone else is happy! A poem terse and of a deep core. A full 10

Soran another marvellous poem that works on many themes and levels. Reincarnation, is it optimistic joy the cry or the polar opposite? Is this child's life ahead preordained and so destined to suffer? A poem that leaves the reader dangling and he or she must make up their own minds to reach an undetermined and obscured outcome. For there is no real answer, just more questions. A fine most thought provoking deep write and 10+. Thank you Soran and take care my friend.

part 1/ There is an expression-proverb- in the other cultures say: 'Ask the experimenter before the sage' of course you passed through this stage and you know how people feel in the reality, but if we look at the same image from an intellectual and philosophical perspective we can say that....

part 2/ the crying here is a symbol and a metaphor where we learn from the new baby how hard this life is? and how every things has changed and turned against its goals, your amazing way of reading poetry always enriching it, and even some times it guides us to a new and different other direction. Many thanks for your lovely Comment dear professional poet and critic Susan

There always has to be the one who goes his own way! ! ! ! I was so relieved and delighted when my baby f-i-n-a-l-l-y cried- - that was a very tense time and then we laughed for joy to hear that little girl wail! ! ! Thank you for making me recall that moment by writing this intriguing poem. 10++ and onto my fav list
