Who Invented The Chocolate Biscuit

Who invented the chocolate biscuit,
For I'd like to shake their hand.
Humankind's most greatest invention,
The most appetising in the land.
And when I dip one in my tea,
My favourite is simply glorious Assam.
These two things bestow upon me,
A sense of well being and utter calm.
