You are yourself and be who you are...it is none of anybody's business what you wear - obviously you are forced to be in a place full of rather unimportant people - they are not your friends - they are not those who you would want to 'dress to impress' for... I can easily guess they all put you down playing the game with your life and that's why style is the last thing you might care about... but remember - there's nothing wrong with you - wear what you think makes you feel comfortable - have 'no style' or say this is 'I don't care what you think style', and tell them all to mind their own business...
