Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I. But when the trees bow down their heads, The wind is passing by. Simple thought which provokes thinking.. tony
I ENJOYED IT AND WATCHING THE VIDEO MADE ME THINK VERY HARD.
Sometimes we may forget that we cannot see the wind, only its effects. the leaves are blown down, the trees are flattened at the top (or uprooted) . Two questions worded the same, and two original answers. A fine poem indeed.
I just remembered this poem that I learnt in school, years ago, when I was a child, but could not remember the words. Thanks. I always liked this poem.
Whenever I sit looking at the garden on a breezy day I think of this poem.
I am seasoned as well. Like 82........ The wind that moves leaves from my yard to my neighbor's yard always gives me a generous portion from my other neighbor's yard. This poem likewise springs up in my thinking having committed it to memory while only a lad in 2nd grade. Mrs. Bubb was a substitute teacher who was big on poetry.
Wow - this is one poem I had to learn in grade school age around 8 and I still remember it, Couldn't remember the author. I had to look it up. Cant believe I still can resite it
What a nice poem I liked it I have to draw an illustration for this poem when i was in 5th grade.
When I was in junior school I was asked to recite this poem and on completion I was given a extra bottle of milk which in my school days was distriubed to all pupils
Had this poem for homework and lost the page. So glad I could find it on Google. Doing my homework and listening to Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears (:
Quoted in Carson McCullers short story Who Has Seen The Wind. I tracked down the verse today.
I memorized this poem as a teen! Here I am at age 70 still reciting it on a windy day!
We had to memorize this poem in the second grade in Irving, TX. I’ve always remembered it. Glad that I could Google it.
