Who Else Would Take Me Far? Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

Who Else Would Take Me Far?

Rating: 5.0

I might not wait for time to be due
Before begging my heart to unleash;
old thoughts and feelings that have kept me backward
How resilience I've been;
Wanting to please every heart I've ever met
And many who have no clue for ends meet
Yet I'm always left with unwanted result
Will I wait to be told of how time flies?
Thousands of legs that have hit the road
All in search of bliss and unending smiles
Who else would take me far?
If not myself and my dream.
