" We are forever circling, chasing our own tails" …… I love this about the logistics some conversations take on.

This is great on many levels. For one, nabs that problem in conversation of inevitable occasional interruption, and losing that train of concentration in voice- either of yours or the others. Also, remember, you might like the sound of your own voice because you're British and have that great accent while the same opinion might not abide if you weren't. Just an aside and a tauntive comment.
